Shopping in Huddersfield, Travel & Tourism

The main shopping area of Huddersfield has pedestrianised streets and high street stores. This will be further enhanced with the opening of the Kingsgate Shopping Centre in Spring 2002. Amongst. These are intimate lanes and arcades, such as the elegant Byram Arcade, with small high quality shops waiting to be explored. Restored Victorian buildings and pedestrian areas in Dewsbury town centre also make for a pleasant shopping environment. In Holmfirth there is a wide range of art and craft galleries and artists studios. Famous names in wool and textiles, painting and pottery can be found, plus all manner of top quality merchandise.
