Torrance holed the putt at The Belfry 16 years ago that ended
America's 18-year grip on the cup, and he has been a member of
two more winning sides since then. Assistant to Mark James in
1999, Torrance is the longest active member of European Tour,
having played over 650 events in a 30-year career. He has earned
22 victories around the world and was awarded the MBE in 1996.
His wife Suzanne is a former television star whose credits included
the Morecambe and Wise Show. |
