Player Notes
Bjorn became the first Dane to win Ryder Cup honours when he played
at Valderrama in 1997. He gained a notable halve with then-British
Open champion Justin Leonard in Europe's win from four down after
four. Bjorn lost his place in 1999 after a series of injury setbacks,
but last season was joint second in the British Open and third
in the PGA Championship. Then in Dubai this year he went head-to-head
with Tiger Woods for 72 holes, and beat him. |
